RCIA Dismissal Calendar
It is traditional for new church members to spend part of the time during Mass (after the homily) breaking open the Word of God, reflecting over the day's readings. This is an ancient tradition going back to the earliest days of the church.
Part of the Dismissal Rite is the recognition and support by the parish community for the Candidates and Catechumens in their journey. Sponsors, spouses and supporters are not asked to participate because of limited space in the conference room.
